    This year’s Insurance Open Enrollment window will be from August 16, 2021 thru August 30, 2021 for the 2021-2022 plan year.  This year we will be offering a hybrid option. You can either meet with an agent during the designated time at your respective campus or you will be able to self-enroll via www.employeenavigator.com. It is the time to review your existing coverage, elect additional coverage, or simply ask any questions that you may have regarding insurance plans.  Listed below are benefits that you need to review.  They will be effective September 1, 2021:

    • Flexible Spending Accounts – Medical Reimbursement / Child Dependent Care – Effective January 1, 2022

    Please note the following:

    • Health Insurance Coverage will change to an HMO Plan with a slight increase to employee premiums, $500 dollars less on deductibles and $10 less on copays for both plans. You will need to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) to utilize your health plan.
    • Vision and Dental Insurance coverage will remain the same with no increase to the rates.
    • All other voluntary products will remain the same.

    The following documents will be required:

    • DISD Employee ID card or Employee ID Number
    • Marriage License (if adding spouse)/Birth Certificate (for dependent children)
    • Date of Birth and Social Security Number (for individuals added to any plans)

     

    You will need to enroll and/or re-enroll during open enrollment. (If you do not take action during open enrollment, your 2020-2021 elections will roll over.)

    Welcome to the Benefits & Risk Management Department

     

    The Benefits and Risk Management Department is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors.  Our Safety and Risk Management programs are designed to ensure the safety of employees, protection of property, and to comply with state and national regulations and standards.

    Benefits and Risk Management is an integral part of the everyday activities in any program or procedure.  The day to day responsibility for these programs rests with those who supervise and/or participate in them.  It is our goal to provide assistance to Department Directors and Supervisors in the fulfillment of their safety, risk management and regulatory compliance needs.

    Employee Benefits

    Our office takes care of employee insurance's which include: Dental, Health, Vision, and Voluntary Products.  
     
    Outside of annual enrollment, the only time you can change your benefits is when you experience a qualified life event. In most cases, you have up to 30 days from the date of your life event to make changes.
